First news………why read it? Joe Sams

The first news is a news paper directed at children from the age of 8 onwards. It is an informative newspaper that is easy and fun to read. It has several sections in it these including the news section which gives you all the information on what is happening in the world around you, where it has happened and who it has affected. The news section also includes the latest on showbiz telling you what the celebs are doing. The news also covers the sport telling you the main scores in football and telling you what people have won what sport awards.

Near the end of the newspaper there is a great competition page or two where you can win great prizes like a Nintendo Wii or some great board games. You can also do the competitions online and enter them at the first news website however you will need to create an account and have your parent’s permission.

To entertain you in the middle of the newspaper there is a little comic strip that is actually quite funny. Also there is a section where they take a selection of new books or console games and they get children to read or play them and then get them to rate them so this tells you what’s hot and what’s not. To top this there is a bit where they put three really good things that you can buy from the shops and it tells you how much it is and where you can get it.
